Ghosted Concepts, owned and operated by Carmen and Stephanie Sabia, began as a ghost kitchen with an order-online, drive-up setup that was quickly embraced for its fantastic food. In July 2022, they moved just a few feet to share a location with their other venture, Cookies & Cream.
One of the most impressive aspects of Ghosted Concepts is its menu—far more extensive than you’d expect from a typical sandwich or burger joint. Chicago native Carmen Sabia draws on decades of culinary experience to offer a wide variety of dishes. Whether you’re craving bacon cheese fries, mini corn dogs, or mozzarella sticks, the appetizers alone provide plenty to tempt you.
For seafood lovers, there’s fried shrimp, fish and chips, and fish sandwiches. The chicken tenders, wings, and fried chicken sandwiches are also standouts. Personally, I found the spicy chicken shack sandwich—with slaw, pickles, and spicy mayo—hard to beat.
And no Chicago-born chef would omit Italian Beef from the menu. Ghosted Concepts serves one of the few authentic Italian Beef sandwiches in Northern Virginia, capturing the flavors of the Windy City.
With so many delicious choices, I highly recommend visiting their website to view the full menu. If you’re seeking a meal made with passion and care, stop by Ghosted Concepts the next time you’re in Haymarket. You won’t be disappointed.
